In 1977 he entered the professional world with a position repairing jewelry in a retail store. In the quarter century since, he has been involved in nearly every aspect of jewelry repair and creation. Drawing on his family legacy of engineering, fine arts and excellent craftsmanship, his work has evolved from simple repair work to elaborate fabrication and unique castings. FORREST DESIGN is the newest expression of his dedication to excellent design and workmanship, fair and reasonable pricing and lasting value. The company operates from his home in Waynesville, North Carolina. From this beautiful setting in the Smoky Mountains, he creates unique, one-of-a-kind jewelry and precious metal sculpture, custom jewelry and a growing line of specialty charms.

Forrest Design is a full service repair and restoration facility. All aspects of jewelry repair can be handled, most work being perfomed on premise. Jim works in all of the precious metals. His specialties are unique specialty charms, wedding bands to complement unusual engagement rings and miniature sculptures in precious metals.
